First Aid for Mental Health Level 1 – Half Day Course
This 4-hour course is an introduction to the subject of mental health in the workplace, with the primary aim of providing learners with basic skills to identify and address problems.
As a basic understanding in how to acknowledge and address issues of mental health in the workplace, the course is suitable for any and all employees across a range of industries. This training course aims to build understanding among colleagues, and create a more positive and open climate around the subject of mental health.

• An understanding of mental illness and mental health.
• An understanding of how to provide advice and support for a person presenting a mental health condition.
• An understanding of how to recognise a range of mental health conditions.
• The first aid for mental health action plan and how to correctly utilise it.
• An understanding of how to implement and cultivate a positive mental health culture in the workplace.

I have worked in the security industry for over 20 years, in various disciplines, including Close Protection, Door Supervision and as a CCTV operative. I utilise a variety of training techniques to ensure every learner feels included within the classroom environment.
