The course covers:
- Acting, Safely, Promptly in an emergency
- Basic Life Support - Recovery Position & CPR, treating an unconscious casualty (including seizures)
- Control of severe bleeding and wounds Minor injuries
- Common medical emergencies
- First Aid kits & accident reporting
- The treatment of Anaphylactic shock
- Drug Box and resuscitation kit
- Preventing cross infection
- Minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)
- Use of the Automatic External Defibrillator
With the addition of sports related incidents- tailoring the course to suit your needs;
- Sports injury Assessment (SALTAPS)
- Asthma
- Cardiac related emergencies
- Diabetes
- Hyperventilating and exercise including breathing
