Students will be assessed for competency in Basic Life support and response to an incident at work. About this course

Candidates attending must hold a current FAW certificate or one which has expired within the last 28 days. Candidates will be expected to produce proof of this. Candidates should be physically fit and capable of performing CPR.

First Aid at Work 2 Day requalification/refresher HSE approved course: The HSE currently requires all First Aiders at Work to Refresh and update their knowledge and skills every 3 years by attending a 2 day requalification/refresher training course. This course enables them to recognise and treat minor injuries and sudden illnesses, and provide emergency life saving procedures and basic care for more serious incidents, until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

This course must be taken within 28 days of the expiry of previous qualifications, failure to do so will mean attendance on a full 3 day FAW course. Upon successful completion, candidates will receive a certificate valid for a further 3 years
