Course Content
Knowledge and understanding of emergency first aid, managing life threatening conditions, illness and injuries that may occur in a workplace environment. This workshop covers the skills and knowledge required for appointed person or emergency first aider to provide effective first aid.
Examination System
A final assessment date is arranged after the home study period.
Further Information
Assessment is done during the course using ongoing practical assessment combined with oral questioning of underpinning knowledge and understanding. Home assignments will be given to cover the knowledge and understanding.
The course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 for appointed persons in the workplace and will qualify the candidate to take on the role of the Emergency First Aider. Course times are from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm.
