Beginners: We will look at the various rhythms of Flamenco, handclapping, posture, arm technique, introduce footwork and work on the basic choreography of Sevillanas. Intermediate: Study advanced Flamenco rhythms including contra (off the beat), more advanced handclapping technique/footwork and occasionally dance to a live guitarist.
About this course
- Intermediate: Students should have at least two years of Flamenco dance experience. - All class participants under the age of 16 years must have the enrolment form signed by parent/guardian.

Course programme
Beginners: A great class to come and find out about this beautiful dance and a partner is not necessary. We will look at the various rhythms of Flamenco, handclapping, posture, arm technique, introduce footwork and work on the basic choreography of Sevillanas. Please wear comfortable shoes or boots with a low or cuban heel. No trainers, sneakers, flipflops, or stilettos.
Elementary: A Flamenco dance class for continuing beginners ( one year of experience or those who have danced Flamenco before). We will continue to work on technique while learning a new choreography. We are currently working on Fandangos and Tangos. Please wear flamenco shoes (with tape) if possible or similar shoes and practice skirt.
