Susanna Jarrett

Susanna Jarrett

Florist

Susanna started "Tiger Rose" in 1990 as a small flower shop in Pimlico and spent time teaching at the Paula Pryke Flower School. This was at a time when floral designers were challenging conventional floristry and were bold enough to mix dark red roses with blackberries in hand tied posies and fill tin pails with cornflowers, cow parsley and buttercups. Now based in Hampshire, Susanna and her team bring ground breaking floristry that is exciting and memorable.

Course programme

The flower design classes will involve susanna demonstrating lots of different ideas such as; table centres, informal arrangements and seasonal creations. These will all be done using easily accessible flowers and also flowers and foliage from the garden.

Our theme in june will be vintage which is very on trend at the moment. using old teacups and containers with beautiful vintage style flowers such as sweet peas, roses, including 'secret garden, metalina, old dutch and amnesia and hopefully some english roses too, astilbe, sweet william, astrantia and herbs.

The class would be great if you are planning wedding flowers, or a summer party, or just want great advice on decorating your home this season.

There will also be tips on conditioning flowers, the use of different containers and ways to display flowers, as well as various techniques including hand-tied bouquets.

The classes will start at 10am and finish at 2pm. there will be a brief refreshment break for a light lunch.

you will create something beautiful to take home with you.
