Introduction
Come and learn a wide variety of techniques in various media including pencil, pastel, oils, acrylics and water colour. You will need to bring some painting & drawing equipment with you (see below). However, a concise guide to materials for each Topic covered will be handed out during the first session, therefore enabling the student to spread the cost of the course.

Description
Mixed ability classes in which you will be encouraged to build on basic skills through the introduction of a variety of painting & drawing techniques, using still life and landscape studies and own source material. A wide variety of techniques in various media including pencil, pastel, oils or acrylics and water colour. Composition perspective and colour theory will be covered with the emphasis on encouraging the development of an individual style.

No homework or written work required. Sessions are purely practical in nature.

Entry Requirement
None. A full list of materials required will be distributed at the first session. Basic essentials for starting include "B, 4b Graphite Pencils, eraser, sharpener and an A3 cartridge paper pad. Materials needed later include: - 6B pencils, medium charcoal sticks, 4 different synthetic nylon brushes, flat plastic palette, 8 minimum acrylic paints or a set of watercolours (pans or tubes), mixing palette, masking fluid, watercolour pad A3, acrylic paper pad board A3 or A4.
