Botticelli created some of the most enduring mythological paintings of the Florentine Renaissance including ‘The Birth of Venus’ and ‘La Primavera’, but he was also known for his religious works. Trace his painting career and techniques; and discover the impact of the society in which he lived – the humanist Florence of first the Medici, then the religious fervour of the Dominican monk Savonarola.
