Peggy Guggenheim was one of the few art collectors who became almost as famous as the artists she patronised. During the 1920s and 30s she used her inheritance to amass one of the greatest collections of early modernist European art in the world. This one-day course will explore her career throughout her life, and the influential relationship she had with Jackson Pollock – one of the twentieth century’s greatest painters.
