If you are looking for entry level position in the food manufacturing industry an apprenticeship is a hands on work based route. It can be general, so many disciplines are covered or can be specialised for those with an interest in a specific area such as production, technical or product development. The food industry is diverse and roles range from agronomy and food production through buying, product development,  marketing and commercial sales. There are many associated roles such as financial, human resources, laboratory based, nutrition and health or sensory analysis.

Core modules include: Product quality Food safety HACCP Maintaining safety standards in production Optional units could include: Raw materials Weighing and mixing Continuous improvement Labelling Product development The majority of the course will be provided in the work place. There will be training and assessment sessions completed by a qualified assessor and your work supervisors.
