Course programme

Van Hee currently provide a wide selection of courses ranging from a basic novice operator to an existing certificate holder's refresher course.

We can offer you the choice of location at our own training centres, or at your premises. On-site training can only be authorised subject to a site visit by one of our qualified instructor/assessors.

All of our courses comply with the HSE ACOP L117

Refresher (1 day) and Conversion (2 Days) Training
All trainees must produce a certificate, either via post or facsimile, or in person prior to course commencement.

Intermediate (upto 4 days) Training
All trainees must have had previous operating experience and some basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Novice (upto 5 days) Training
No previous experience is required, however, Van Hee reserve the right to cancel any trainees course, if for example, in our opinion, the trainee constitutes a risk to Safety or the well-being of others or is disruptive in any way.

Here is a comprehensive breakdown of what disciplines all trainees will undertake.

7. Starting, stopping and single manoeuvre (N).
8. Fork Truck Stability (N,C and R).
9. Hydraulic System (N).
10. Operating Practice into confined spaces (N,C and R).
11. Bulk Stacking (N).
12. Load handling and weight assessment (N).
13. Vehicle Loading and unloading (N).
14. Stacking in a racking system (N,C and R).
15. Further operating practice (N,C and R).
