Course programme
Sigma Studies can offer a wide range of forklift truck training, counterbalance, reach and many others. Our instructors are R.T.I.T.B. registered; this ensures trainees will receive training to the highest standard which is set by the Health & Safety Executive and Approved Code of Practice 1999.
Two Day Refresher / Familiarisation:
This course is designed for operators who already have considerable experience and training or have been previously certificated, but require corrective tuition. It is also suitable for those operators who may be faced with a new truck or a change in operation and require further training. The programme is high on practical content.
A maximum of three students per day, this may be increased for certain equipment.
Three Day Basic Course for Intermediate:
This course is structured in accordance with the recommendations of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOPS). This course is for operators with substantial experience of forklift operation. It provides a mixture of practical instuction and classroom work and theory, ending with a test to evaluate each trainee's progress and standard on completion of the course.
A maximum of three students per day.
Five Day Course for Novices:
This is an intensive course on safe use and efficient truck handling for novices and operators with little or no experience. It conforms to requirements laid down by the R.T.I.T.B. There is an equal balance of practical instruction and theory.
A maximum of three students per day.
Testing & Certification:
On the completion of each course, operators will undertake a theory and practical test. Successful operators will then be issued with an approved operators certificate and I.D. card.
Other Forklift Training:
Because there is such a vast range of trucks / pedestrian equipment on the market it is impossible for us to list them all - but here is just a few:
Counterbalance, Reach Trucks, Side Loaders, Rough Terrain, Pedestrian Pallet Truck, Pedestrian Operated Stacker, High Level Order Pickers, Narrow Aisle Stackers, Rider on Truck, Hand Pallet Truck and many more...
