The Programme
Biology has become a topical and important subject relevant to everyone - cloning, genetically modified organisms, the genome project, the influence of mankind on the environment, the potential risks of some foods and many other topics appearing in the media regularly. The course will allow you to develop an understanding of the sciences underpinning the advances in the new technologies and enable you to contribute to informed discussion in this important area. You will spend time gaining industrial experience and forging links with local employers.
The Programme Content
The course is divided into 14 modules, offering you a wide range of skills and providing a variety of experiences. In Level 1 and Level 2 there is a residential (one week) module at the University of Plymouth. Students particularly enjoy these modules as it provides an opportunity to use the University's laboratories, meet lecturers and view the campus and its facilities
