Foundation Degree Integrated Practice - Early Years and Children
Course Description
You will learn to deliver the key outcomes from Every Child matters. You will study national and local government policy initiatives, legal and social issues, multi-disciplinary team working and communication. Theory is closely linked to work practice.The programme is offered on a modular basis over two years, with Year 2 at Edge Hill University at the Ormskirk campus. There are eight modules in year 1 for which the assessment is a written assignment (1,500-2,000 words) for each unit.

Entry Requirements
Requires 40 UCAS points (1 A Level Grade E). For mature students, entry is by formal interview. Being in current employment is desirable.

Assessment: To be successful in year one of the Foundation Degree, you must pass both the theoretical assignments and work practice competencies. A Personal Tutor will support you throughout the programme in College, and a supervisor in your work placement.

Progression Routes: Successful completion of the course can lead to progression to an Honours Degree. Edge Hill offer a Bsc (Hons) in Health and Social Care (Child and Family Pathway). Management opportunities and career development in education and social care.
