Course Aims:
Modules to study include: Study Skills, child development, working environment and physical health and well-being (subject to change)
Notes:
Placement: Students must be either working in an appropriate establishment (school, nursery, children's centre, Parenting 2000 etc) or be able to arrange their own child based placement in order to complete the work based learning element of the programme. In the first year this accounts for 20 days of placement.
Location: 1st year at Southport College with the 2nd and 3rd to take place at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk.
Day to attend: Currently Friday 9-5pm.
Other Costs:
Course fees are currently 1225 for the first 2 years, and the full 3000 for those students progressing onto the 3rd year.
Duration:
2 years full-time (one day) with the option to study a 3rd year to complete a BA (Hons) Integrated Practice for Child Welfare (title may change)
Students leave with a FD Integrated Practice for Early Years and Children or Young People after completing the first 2 years successfully
Assessment:
Students submit word processed essays (may change)
