Overseas students can send evidence of qualifications (IELTS 6), work experience, and portfolio electronically (or by post) to the Course Team Leader. Following receipt of this work an interview by phone will be conducted.
We welcome applications from students 21+ who do not match the standard entry requirements but who can demonstrate a commitment to studying at University level.

Course Description:
The FD in Photography + Video is equivalent to the first 2 years of a BA(Hons) degree and the "Photo Pathway" responds to the huge demand for still images in contemporary life whilst offering mutli-skilling in new media and video technologies.
Description Breakdown:
Core subjects cover historical and contemporary lens media practice through traditional study, negotiated projects and work experience. Specialist modules deliver training across the broad genres of editorial, fashion, studio and creative applications. Supporting modules explore video production, digital imaging and professional media practice. The course has a strong emphasis on testing the industrial abilities of our students. In previous years we've won various national competitions including the MTV and Fujifilm Student Photographer Awards. This year a 2nd year student has been shortlisted for The Times Young Photographer Of The Year.The Photography pathway runs alongside the video pathway for certain core units and you will have access to our industry standard photographic studios, darkrooms and equipment.

Trips Residentials: A residential is organised once a year; previous destinations include; Madrid, Milan, Paris, Berlin and Barcelona. The guest lecturers include Paul M Smith, Richard Billingham, Chris Coekin, Joy Gregory, Thin-King Media and Clement Cooper.
