If your aim is a career in retail then this foundation degree can provide you with the skills, knowledge and other attributes that retail organisations are currently demanding from graduates. You will gain knowledge of the retail sector and its organisations covering core retail functions including Management of Resources, Marketing, Ethics, Sales, HR, Managing Customers, Logistics, Information Systems. You�ll also study Innovation and Creativity, learning how to identify opportunities to apply these to improve business performance. If you are interested in starting your own business then the Enterprise option module will give you direction and support you might need. The course will help you to develop skills in applying business and management theories to real world issues through working on business case studies and through working with live companies. You will also gain personal, academic and professional skills through Personal Development Planning modules and you will also gain valuable employability skills through Work-Related learning modules that allow you to engage with local employers in a number of ways. If you are already in a relevant work setting then the course is designed to use your work as a platform for developing and applying work-related skills.
