Objectives:

Specially designed for beginners (currently in EL3/EL4) this workshop is based on authentic videos from French speaking TV networks.

This workshop will allow you to make full use of what you have learnt in previous classes, using it in a real situation, the topics from the videos being current affairs, social, environment, life style, etc…

Course organisation:

After viewing the short video, students will work in pairs and take notes of all relevant information and will write a set of questions to be asked to the other pairs.

Methods :

Comprehension : you will be watching videos made for French speakers, not beginners learners, and yet through interaction/questions/discussion you will understand them.

Written skills: although mostly oral, through notes taking and writing your own questionnaire, you will develop your written skills. In addition you will be writing a short presentation about the video for the following class.

Expression: by asking and answering questions, discussing your opinion on the topic, you will vastly improve your spoken skills.
