Description:
This is a streamlined, flexible, full-time accounting programme that allows students to attain full AAT membership. It includes a new Professional Ethics for Accounting Technicians unit; a market leading innovation much valued by employers. The qualification is highly valued in the workplace which is demonstrated by the high number of learners sponsored by employers.

Like the part-time course, the Diploma consists of three levels, each of which is a qualification in its own right:
  • AAT Certificate in Accounting (NVQ L2)
  • AAT Advanced Certificate in Accounting (NVQ L3)
  • AAT Diploma in Accounting (NVQ L4)

You will achieve the full AAT Accounting qualification by successfully completing the three levels.

Key units studied include: costing, preparing accounts, cash management and credit control. Options at Diploma level include personal taxation, business taxation and implementing audit procedures. Assessments are a combination of skills tests and examinations

Progression:
Employment and/or professional exemptions from professional accountancy bodies such as ACCA, CIPFA and CIMA. In addition, AAT is one of the few NVQ qualifications that carries UCAS points and so also provides a pathway to university.
