Qualification: BTEC First Diploma

Description:
This is a practical course covering basic agriculture skills and knowledge, where you will spend one day per week on work experience. The course is equivalent to four GCSEs at grades A* to C. You will study three core units:

· agriculture work experience
· industry and organisations
· landbased machinery

You will also study three specialist units:

· introduction to animal and plant husbandry
· introduction to animal and plant biology
· practical landbased skills

Progression:
Find work in the agricultural industry or study for a National Diploma or NVQ level 2 course in a related subject.

Entry Requirements:
4 GCSEs at grade D or E, or introductory Diploma.
