About this course
This two-year full-time course requires students to have 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including English, Maths and Science. A relevant work placement is essential. Students may also progress onto this course on successful completion of the BTEC First Diploma in Animal Care at Merit or Distinction level.

What will the course involve?
The course is assessed throughout using course work, studying a variety of units including: animal behaviour, animal health and nutrition, aquatics management, wildlife rehabilitation, anatomy and physiology, principles of ecology, farm livestock management and animal nursing.

This programme is designed for those looking at a career in the animal industry as a supervisor or manager. Alternatively students can progress onto the Foundation Degree in Animal Management at University Campus Suffolk Otley.
