Progression Awards are ideal if you want to gain a basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and a range of skills. This award will give you an introduction to the basic skills and processes associated with engineering. It includes one core unit, 'Developing self and working safely with others in an engineering environment' and two optional units from: assembling electrical components, wiring electrical circuits, and carrying out routine servicing of electrical/electronic equipment and systems. It is suitable if you are entering the electrical engineering industry for the first time, and is a good starting point for other qualifications.
