Course Details:
Do you enjoy drawing, painting and making things? On this course you will learn to paint, draw and make work which will develop your practical skills. You will also learn about different artists and their work will help you create ideas for your own exciting practical projects. Throughout the year you will have several different assignments and will have the chance to work with clay, textiles, and photography.

Career Progression:
After this course you could progress to:

  • A BTEC First Diploma programme in Media or Design at Nescot if you get merit grades on this course.
  • Another qualification at Level 1 in an alternative sector eg. another BTEC Introductory qualification like this one
  • A job in an art shop, framing studio, reprographic company



Other Information:
The units on the course are graded P (pass), M (merit) or D (distinction).

Learners are required to achieve a minimum of a pass grade in each unit to qualify for a qualification grade.

A qualification grade of pass, merit or distinction will be reported on the learner's certificate.

Fees:
A fee of 40 is payable for student art packs. This will include brushes, paint, pencils, sketchbooks, ruler and scissors.
