You need to be self motivated and wanting to learn and develop your new skills.

How Will I Be Assessed?
AS: Year 1
In your AS year you will produce a series of projects which will reflect your learning and development of the subject. The work will include critical thinking and understanding of others work as well as good technical knowledge.
At the end of the AS year you will take a practical exam in which you have to produce a solution to a question under exam conditions.
A2: Year 2
If you are successful in your AS year you can progress to A2 which will enable you to develop your skills further. You will produce more coursework and take a practical exam at the end of the year.

What Could I Do Next?
You can study HND/degree courses that offer further opportunities in the field of photography. This can lead to careers such as photo-journalism, editorial photography and advertising.

Are There Any Special Expenses?
This subject can be quite expensive as you have to purchase photographic paper (approximately 25.00 for a box of 100 sheets) and with films, presentation materials and visits to museums and art galleries you can easily spend 100.00 per year. We also ask students to pay for all computer printing costs. Owning a camera would also be advantageous.
