Bexhill College is a sixth form college with a long history of excellent post-16 education.There are about 100 sixth form colleges all over England. All of them focus on giving top quality education to students between 16 and 19 years old. They are specialist colleges and therefore they are able to provide an outstanding range of courses and specialist services aimed specifically at this age group. Colleges have developed in different ways, but they all share a reputation for good results, strong relationships between staff and students and outstanding support services. If you decide to come to us you will have the opportunity to be able to access excellent post-16 education in your local community.We feel it is important that students are involved in College issues. One of the ways we do this is through the student reps and the student council.Parents and guardians are also a vital part of this partnership. Their help and support can be central to success and we will keep them fully informed about your achievements and progress.Some Key Facts about Bexhill College: * There are about 1400 full-time students * Nearly all the college's day-time students are between 16 and 19 years old * All course tuition is free as long as you start the course before you are 19 * We have a wide range of courses, including 'AS'/'A' Levels, BTEC National Diplomas, Advanced & Higher Diplomas, GCSEs, BTEC Firsts and Foundation level courses * We are co-located with post-16 students of Glyne Gap SchoolBexhill College is a good bridge between school and work or higher education. It is very different from school, but you will get lots of support and are not left on your own. You won't be timetabled every hour of the college day and will need to develop independent study skills to be able to use your time wisely.
