The Course
This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in the aviation industry as air cabin crew or ground operations. The course can be used as a stepping stone to our other courses at Level 3. This course is designed to prepare the student for later employment in the airline industry.
Course Content
The Certificate consists of four cabin crew specialist units:

- Hospitality - Food and Beverage Level 2

- Beauty - VTCT Make Up and Manicure Level 2
- First Aid at Work
- Wet drill
- Smoke and fire evacuation
- Conversational Spanish
During the course students have the opportunity to observe first hand the operational functions of airports and airlines - local, regional and internationally.
Students are expected to purchase black suits and the Aviation Academy scarf to be worn for cabin crew and hospitality duties. Students are expected to contribute towards the cost of visits and are responsible for their own stationery and books.
Assessment/Exams
The course is assessed by an assignment programme for each unit. Evidence for assessment is varied and reflects industry standards. Students produce a variety of written work, eg reports, information packs and portfolios. Students participate in presentations and role play and these are assessed by both tutors and industry specialists.
Progression/Career Path
Students can progress onto the Level 3 programmes or directly into employment as air cabin crew.
