WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
You will Start by covering the required units for the BTEC Level 1 course which will lead onto a BTEC Level 2 First Certificate in Sport in January. This course is aimed at those wishing to find work in the Sport and Leisure Industry or who would like to progress on to further sports courses.
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
This is an 18 unit qualification equivalent to 3 A Levels and includes units on:
· The travel and tourism industry and businesses
· Marketing
· Tourist destinations and visitor attractions
· Customer service and working in the travel industry
· Retail tourism
WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
You will need to attend classes for approximately 20 hours per week. In addition you will need to spend 10 hours per week on coursework at home or in college. You will need to complete assignments to set deadlines and participate in visits.
WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
You will gain 2 BTEC Advanced Diplomas (one in each year) and a Certificate in Key Skills. As well as professionally recognised qualifications, such as ABTAC/ ABTOC and WAFT.
