Course description
The BTEC Award in Dance is a practical based course that will allow you to develop your technique as a performer in dance combined with a theoretical understanding of the role of dance in contemporary society.
BTEC National Awards are equivalent to one A level and are designed with a vocational focus, which means that the emphasis is on developing the techniques required of a dancer and recognising the skills that underpin the creative process.
The BTEC National Award can be combined with an A level programme or the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts.

Entry requirements
You must be able to demonstrate a strong interest in and experience of Dance. This may be through GCSE Dance at grade C or above, a BTEC First Diploma in Performing Arts or Dance exams.

This course is offered at our Abingdon Campus.
