This qualification is particularly suited to people considering Higher Education.
What qualifications will I need?
Minimum four GCSEs at grades A* to C, including English, First Diploma at Merit Level or successful completion of NCFE Certificate in Outdoor Adventure Leadership.
What will I be learning about?
The course consists of 6 units from the BTEC National Award framework:

- Health and safety in sport
- Training and fitness for sport
- Leadership in sport
- Outdoor Adventurous Activities
- Principles and practices in Outdoor Adventure
Activities:
- canoeing,
- kayaking,
- climbing,
- sailing,
- caving,
- expeditions,
- ropes course
What is involved?
Winter and Spring terms spent studying at Kingston Maurward College alongside the BTEC National Diploma course with completion set for Easter.
Where will it take me?
Employment within the Sports / Outdoor Adventure Industry, continuation onto the BTEC National Diploma two year course, entry to the Professional Outdoor Instructor course, or Higher Education.
