The Award is at the same level as the Diploma and you will have a similar set of experiences, a mix of practical activities and supporting theory to help you understand the role and responsibilities of the Uniformed Public Services in society.
You will learn about:
• Leadership
• Developing Teams
• Planning adventure Expeditions
• Outdoor Activities both land and water based
• Discipline
• The effects of crime on society.
The course is designed to be as practical as possible to give you a wide range of experiences to help you learn about the Uniformed Public Services and aid you in your choice of career. There is obviously theory that has to be understood but the theory supports the practical activities where possible. This helps your understanding of both the Uniformed Public Services and how you might find a role in them.
It is a coursework-based qualification and you will be able to set your own targets and monitor your progress in reaching them.
