About this course

Four GCSEs at grades A*C, including English or Merit at BTEC First Diploma or Intermediate GNVQ, together with Functional Skills at Level 2 in Communication. Entry is by interview, audition and is subject to a good reference. At the audition you will provide examples of music you have created using sequencing software at home, at school or at a studio.

This course is aimed at students who wish to follow a career in production or sound engineering and related industries. You will have the opportunity to study:

This course enables you to gain the skills to get started in the music recording industry and also provides a progression route to university. All students will follow the Certificate course and those who show in the induction period that they are capable will be offered the chance to study additional units to gain the Diploma.
