PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
Consisting of 18 units, this course will provide a solid foundation in the skills and techniques needed by those students who wish to train for professional work as musicians or producers in the studio and live situations. The Music Technology programme will develop skills in music production and recording; it also includes a focus on live performance and composition. The practical work will relate to a range of equipment used in both the studio and in live situations and there will be both studio projects and professional level performances to be undertaken as part of an practical, vocational programme. The course can accomodate instrumentalists and vocalists and the students' individual development in these areas is addressed as part of the course. Students will also study the theory and information related to music, accoustics and the physics of sound, electronics and the mechanics of the music industry.
