Construction and the Built Environment - Built Environment

Study Method:
This is a full-time course requiring attendance at the college for three and one half days per week. Additional subjects may be taken on separate sessions. Study comprises of formal lectures and assignments.
Site visits and work experience form an integral part of the course. There is also the opportunity to undertake a European exchange with technical colleges abroad.
Duration :Full-time for 3 & a half days week
Who the Course is For:
The BTEC National Diploma course has been designed to enable students to develop a progressive career in the construction industry. It is designed for those who wish to become a construction technician or professional in architecture, building surveying, quanitity surveying, civil and structural engineering.
Assessment:
Assessment is made on the basis of in course assignments and course work. There is an externally assessed assignment in the second year which is marked internally and moderated by BTEC. The National Diploma can be obtained by passing 18 units which include 5 core units essential to the course.
