BTEC National Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 3Duration
Two years full time.

Attendance
The course runs over five days a week Monday

to Friday. Four days in college and one day on

vocational placement.

Course description
This course is intended to enable students to explore a range of areas within the health services. It will provide knowledge, understanding and skills required for further education or future employment in the health and care sectors.

Course Structure
The course comprises of 19 units, eight core and the other 11 optional units covering a wide aspect of Health & Social care.

Key skills in communication and application of number are an integral part of the course.

Course Assessment
All evidence is completed through practical written work in the form of assignments over the two year programme. Placement requires learners to complete a reflective log.

Course Costs
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old on 31 August 2010. However, you may have to pay for textbooks, personal kits, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your interview. There will be fees for CRB of £36.00

Course Enrichment
Activities such as trips and visits will be arranged, which are beneficial to this course and your learning. These activities are optional and additional fees will be charged to you. Details will be provided at the time of interview.

HND/Degree programmes including Nursing, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology and Criminology.
