What will I study?
On this course, you will get the change to develop your marketing skills, learn how to set up a business, manage finance, look after customers and manage staff. You will also look at law in relation to business. You can go on to study further when you have completed the course (e.g. an HND course or a Degree), or you can use the skills to set up your own business or to try for a job. The first year of the course is equivalent to one or two AS levels. It is possible to study the course as a double.
Will I have to sit any examinations?
There are 2 exams in the first year and one exam in the second year. The bulk of the work in assessed with projects 4 projects in the first year and 5 projects in the second year
What will I have at the end of the course?
On successful completion, you will have: 3 units Partial award Equivalent to 1 AS; 6 units Single award Equivalent to 2 AS levels; or 1 A level 12 units Double award Equivalent to 2 A levels. Some students have studied this subject in conjunction with other AS subjects or units of vocational courses, so that they can apply for higher education courses.
