Introduction
The BTEC First Diploma in Business is a practical work related course that is designed to give students a good understanding of the business environment and develop the skills that they need to succeed in future employment. It also provides a sound basis to progress to a level 3 qualification.

Description

Method of Study
All of the modules are assessed by projects and assignments based on realistic business scenarios. Successful students will pass five out of the six units and achieve a minimum of 12 points. All students will also take part in work experience within local businesses

Progression
The course will help to prepare you for work in a clerical, administrative or retail environment. Students who achieve a merit or distinction grade can progress to the BTEC National programme
