About this course
Four GCSEs at grade D (or above) including English and Maths or successful completion of the City & Guilds Multitrades. You will also need a specific interest in a career within the Construction industry. Mature students are encouraged to apply. No specific Construction skills are required for entry, however students will need to develop these as they progress.

Course Content: Units are available to develop essential knowledge and skills, and cover: Introduction to the Construction Industry Investigating Health & Safety Construction Science & Maths Specialist units include: Wood and Trowel skills
Work Experience: As this is a full time course, students are not required to be in employment. This course has no work experience attached to it.
Course Assessment: Assessment is by completion of a number of assignments and projects. All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded.
Progression: National Diploma in Building, NVQ at level 3 in Bricklaying or Carpentry & Joinery
Homework: There is no homework on this course.
