Aim of course
This course provides knowledge and skills in different management practices and principles according to options chosen. This course is suitable for either students aged 19+ - two days per week over two years or aged 16-18 - four days a week over two years.
What will the course involve?
Students will cover a range of Countryside Management subjects. Students can choose from different option routes:1) Woodland Management - chainsaw use and operations, woodland habitat management and green wood crafts2) Game Management - shoot/game management, working gundogs.3) Habitat Management - farmland, grassland and practical operations in different habitats. All students will undertake ecological principles and project studies as well as gaining good hands-on practical experience in machinery and estate skills.

Students can progress onto higher education or a career within the industry.
