Description:
On the AS course the literature element comprises the study of an anthology of poetry, ranging from the Middle English period to 1900 and one further text. The language element involves personal writing and an analysis of the writing of others, including a transcript of the spoken word. A further two texts and more complex analysis and writing tasks make up the A2 level course in the second year, completing the A Level qualification.

Progression:
Higher education; careers in journalism, reading, speech therapy, care or working with children; any career that demands a high level of communication skills.
