Course Description
This course is aimed at students who have completed Level 2 in hairdressing and wish to progress to a more advanced level.
You will attend theory, practical workshops and commercial salon sessions. The theory covers all the underpinning knowledge required to complete the written exam papers. Workshop sessions give you the opportunity to practise newly acquired skills and watch demonstrations. The two practical sessions allow you to be assessed in a commercial salon environment working with paying clients.
You will be encouraged to work in a salon alongside your course to gain further experience. You will be expected to buy a uniform and hairdressing kit.

Course Content
You can customise your qualification by selecting units which will be the most beneficial to your career. The Level 3 qualification consists of four mandatory units plus five optional units.

Mandatory Units
Create a Variety of Looks Using a Combination of Cutting Techniques, Ensure your own Actions Reduce Risks to Health and Safety, Promote Additional Products or Services to Clients, Provide Hairdressing Consultation Services.

Optional Units
Contribute to the Financial Effectiveness of the Business, Contribute to the Planning and Implementation of Promotional Activities, Colour Hair Using a Variety of Techniques, Develop and Enhance your Creative Hairdressing Skills, Perm Hair Using a Variety of Techniques, Provide Colour Correction Services, Provide Corrective Relaxing Services, Provide Hair Extension Services, Provide Indian Head Massage Treatment, Style Hair Using Thermal Techniques, Style and Dress Hair to Achieve a Variety of Creative Looks, Style and Dress Long Hair, Support Customer Service Improvements.
