It would be an advantage if students had an affiliation with a football club and are able to demonstrate practical competence in football or have some experience coaching. Mature students without formal qualifications considered.

Description:
This 2 year full-time course combines the practical application and theory of specific subjects related to football and is aimed at students who have a particular interest in Football Coaching.
Students will work towards the SFA Qualification: Childrens' Player Pathways 5-12 year olds'
- Early Touches'
- Working with Young Footballers'
- Coaching in the Game'
The college has established a formal working relationship with the SFA and Glasgow City Council to deliver a programme of coach education with second year students. This programme includes the first three levels of the-Youth' syllabus and incorporates a workplace experience structured around the SFA schools initiative.

Qualifications & Progression:
SQA HND Sports Coaching with Development. Access to university degree programmes and an opportunity of employment with local sports authorities and the SFA.
