. NC Health and Social Care or other relevant NC . Two Highers or equivalent, one of which must be English, and an interview. . Mature students may be admitted without formal qualifications. . Candidates must have at least 120 hours of social care practice experience.

Aims:
This course is designed to enable students to acquire and apply
in the workplace an understanding of the structure and context
of social care provision and of the influence of organisational
factors upon service delivery.
Duration:
1 year full time August to June.

Further Study:
Previous students have progressed to Degrees in Social Work at
Glasgow Caledonian University, University of Paisley and Glasgow
School of Social Work. Possible other routes into Social Science
Degrees and Occupational Therapy qualifications exist.
Careers:
This qualification is necessary for candidates wishing to work in
Social Care Children's Services and to meet the registration
requirements of the Scottish Social Services Commission.
