Course Description
This new course in Costume Design offers students the opportunity to venture into the diverse world of film, television and theatre, where all aspects of costume design will be considered from historical, period productions to contemporary theatre.
The course offers a wide range of skills from historical research through to design, pattern cutting and manufacture.
You will be encouraged to meet the day to day working challenges of theatre with innovative enthusiasm and produce work to a professional standard.

Course Assessment
Practical, theoretical and design, you will be expected to undertake a number of design briefs which will be presented at critiques.
Entry requirements
A successful portfolio interview and the attainment of one of the following qualifications:
- Minimum UCAS Tariff Points- 80
- Foundation Diploma- Pass/Merit Profile
- BTEC National Diploma in a relevant subject- Merit/Distinction Profile
- Adult Access to HE- Pass/Merit Profile
- Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL)
- Applications are invited from mature students without formal qualifications who can demonstrate a capability to pursue the course successfully.
