Assessment/Exams
The course is assessed via a combination of examination and continuous assessment.
  • Practical assessment workshop tasks measure competence, which is the ability to complete a vehicle related job to a satisfactory standard
  • Online examinations that assess underpinning knowledge, the theory of each vehicle system and its related studies
  • Phase testing, which are short term time tests (coursework) to ensure one subject is understood before moving to the next topic
Progression/Career Path
You can progress to Higher Education, such as Northbrooks Foundation Degrees in both Automotive and Motorsport Engineering, both accredited by the University of Brighton. There are industry opportunities at various levels in either the Automotive (production road car) or Motorsport industry or you can opt for a subject change by using your academic subjects as entrance to other university courses.
