How will I study?

The diploma consists of a range of core and specialist units. Examples of units that are covered include: • Knowledge & Skills in Health & Safety in the Motorsport Environment • Knowledge & Skills in Materials, Fabrication, Tools & Measuring Devices Used in the Motorsport Environments • Knowledge of Motorsport Regulations • Knowledge & Skills in Motorsport Vehicle Chassis, Steering, Suspension & Braking System Technology, Service & Repair. • Knowledge & Skills in Motorsport Engine Principles, Operations, Service & Repair. • Applications of Motorsport Vehicle Science & Mathematics. • Knowledge of Motorsport Vehicle Transmission Systems. • Motorsport Workshop Practices, & Motorsport Preparation and Inspection. • Knowledge & Skills in Electrical & Electronic Principles for Motorsport Vehicle Technology. • Vehicle Project.
How will I be taught?

Sessions consist of a range of theoretical and practical activities structured to the engineering environment and with a strong emphasis on independent discovery learning and team building.
How will I be assessed?

The programme is internally assessed through a series of practical assessments, written assignments & on-line exams. Assignment methods vary but include worked answers to questions, written reports, logbooks, video, project work and presentations.
