Course Description
This course has been designed by City & Guilds of London to provide a practical programme of motor vehicle training at a basic level (Entry Level 3).

What you will Study
All aspects of vehicle servicing and maintenance will be covered including: Engine Systems, Chassis Systems, Electrical Systems. There may also be the opportunity to develop basic skills in the following addtional areas: Vehicle Body Repair, Motor Cycle Repair,Basic Engineering Processes, Fabrication and Welding. Integral to the program of study are the key skills in Communication, Application of Number and Information Technology.

There will also be an opportunity to gain qualifications in motorcycle mechanics. Integral to the programme are the key skills of Communication, Numeracy and Information Technology.
Assessment takes place throughout the course; students complete practical tests on each aspect of course content, plus one written test.

On Completion
Successful completion of the course can lead to higher level courses with in the College. Students can progress to Motor Vehicle IMI National Award or VRQ.
