This programme is designed to prepare students for employment in the health and care sector. The programme aims to provide the academic knowledge and practical understanding required to progress into a career in nursing, health studies or other care related professions.

Work experience is an essential element of this programme and placements will be with a number of health care organisations such as community settings, hospital wards, pharmacists and day centres.
Entry Requirements
You should possess one or more of the following:

• Four passes at GCSE Grade C or above (to include Maths, Science and English)
• BTEC Level 2 or First Diploma in a Health Care or a related subject

These conditions may be modified for mature candidates or for those with previous practical experience and training.
Progression
On successful completion of the programme you may progress into Higher Education or enter employment in areas such as nursing, midwifery, pathology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and other professions allied to medicine.
