About this course

If you gained a grade D at School and wish to improve, you will be able to do the course in one year. If you gained less than a D you may need to build up your skills in the first year before moving on to the GCSE course. If you haven't previously taken GCSE Maths we will work with you to find the right level course for you.

What will I study?
The course will include topics such as number, shape and space, statistics and algebra. You will develop your calculator and non calculator skills and apply your maths skills to real life and abstract situations.

How will I be assessed?
This is a modular course which is assessed by examinations throughout the year. If you are making good progress you may able to study higher tier.

A qualification in Maths is a requirement for further study in many areas, and is important for employment.
