The course has been designed for you if you are interested in learning mechanical /manufacturing or electronic engineering through a practical approach. It provides an excellent opportunity for students to acquire the practical skills and theoretical knowledge of machining and fitting or electronic assembly and testing.
Course Content
The course is made up of six units as follows:

- Fitting using hand skills
- Machining engineering materials

- Maintaining electronic equipment and systems
Assessment/Exams
Assessment will take a variety of methods including tests, assignments and practical observations.
Progression/Career Path
You can enter employment by way of an apprenticeship and work towards an NVQ Level 3 in the workplace whilst returning to College one day per week to gain a Level 3 Technical Certificate in your chosen field.
