Qualifications required:
NVQ Level 2 or relevant experience in the hairdressing industry. This course follows on from Level 2, enhancing technical skills and expanding knowledge of non-technical aspects. A satisfactory reference may also be required.

1 year (full-time or 15 hours)

The Colleges Queens Gardens Centre,macmillan and preston road

Course hours:
1 year full time 17 hours plus placement in industry (age 16-18) or 15 hours (age 19+)

Additional info:
Professional overall and recommended text book and full hairdressing kit. It will also be necessary for learners to arrange their own models for assessment.

Progression:
Employment as a salon stylist, NVQ Level 4 Hairdressing, Assessor Award, or further study in a range of specialist careers.
